Sessions are kept on the Prize Beagle Mac for two (2) months following
a session, then are archived for storage for an additional four
(4) months. Prize Beagle Recording takes no responsibility
for client data beyond this six (6) month period.
Clients are encouraged to bring virus-checked drives to take their
data home at the end of a session. Prize Beagle can create DVD-R
archives for $20 (each DVD-R holds approximately 4.5GB of session
data).
In my opinion, day rates are the way to go. Clock and wallet watching
are counterproductive to having a good session - if someone is thinking
about money or time, they're not thinking about the recording, which
usually results in more billable hours to accommodate the unfocused
takes. If you're concerned about what your budget can actually get
you in the studio, let's talk about what is realistic for the time
we can schedule.
Payment
Just like at the vet's office, payment is expected at the close
of each session. We'll wrap up, tally hours, subtract meal breaks
or other downtime and determine the final cost. Prize Beagle Recordings
loves cash and likes checks. Credit Card payments can be tendered
through PayPal, but that needs to be worked out in advance of the
session.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance of the established start
time will be charged 50% of the booked session time. The session
clock starts at the negotiated start time, which may or may not
be different from the time that the necessary personnel are assembled
and ready to begin working.
